TeZukA Manga Workshop at Sadler's Wells in London



Visionary Japanese animator and manga artist Osamu Tezuka provides the inspiration for internationally renowned choreographer and Sadler’s Wells Associate Artist Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui’s brand new work - TeZukA.


Manga Workshop by Sonoko Obuchi. Saturday 10th September 4 – 6pm

For people with some prior knowledge of Manga, Sadler’s Wells offers you the opportunity to take part in a creative workshop. Pro­fes­sional Manga artists will be on hand to take you through the steps of how to cre­ate char­ac­ters and fig­ures the tech­niques used in Manga style in this fun and informal workshop.

Appropriate for ages 15yrs and above.

TeZuKa All Ages Workshop

Saturday 10th September

To complement Tezuka, Sadler’s Wells is offering an afternoon of activities designed for all the family. All ages and abilities welcome. Children need to bring a parent, grandparent or carer.

2.45 – 3.45 Calligraphy workshop – learn the basics of this beautiful ancient Japanese script

4.00 – 5.00 Movement workshop - Have a go no dance shoes needed.

5.15 – 6.15 Animation workshop – Be creative and try your hand at your own cartoon character.

Supervising adults need to be 18 yrs or older, children cannot attend on their own. One adult can bring up to 2 children. (Suggested age 8+)
